Ralph C. Lumbres

Para kay Elias is a video installation that is based on a series of letters that I wrote to my future child. The videos are montages of documenting life along with videos of shadowplay using a cut-out of my image on a bicycle while riding on a bicycle. The images are paired with my narration of the letters that I wrote. The content of the letter are mostly thoughts and questions about the difficulty of life in recent years.

For me, this project is an exercise about looking into the future and finding connections that are still yet to be formed.
